Basketball
Basketball is my first love. It shaped my life in many ways.
It all started with a guy you may have heard of, Michael Jordan, and it stayed with me forever since. I used to watch His Airness’ games and try to reproduce his moves on my Playskool hoop in my parents' backyard.
By 16, I was on the bench of a professional team in France. At 17, I received a scholarship to play high school basketball in Virginia. At 18, I went back to France to go to college and to become a professional basketball player.
After moving to San Francisco, I started covering the NBA and the Golden State Warriors. It was the perfect way to stay around basketball, to go behind the scenes, and talk to the protagonists to feed my passion for the game.
Why I write in French?
This is a question I get a lot and the answer is fairly simple. 99% of the time, I am the lone credentialed French media member at Oracle Arena. That’s a pretty big competitive advantage.
If you speak/read French, below are examples of some pieces I wrote, broke down by categories.
